It is not just a book of photographs, the hearts that she has been photographing for several years have turned into a vehicle of healing, and a new way to help her cope with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and chronic pain.
The author desires to share her story, photographs and her love of inspirational quotations, and offer to brain injury survivors, caregivers, and even those who are challenged with other illnesses and dis-Abilities, the impetus to realize that the art of photography can offer a means to cope, heal, and find joy~in a simple photograph.
Bio for Sandra Madden
Sandra Madden, a graduate of the SI Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University is a photographer and writer, an Administrative Assistant at the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA), and a brain injury survivor. Sandra’s story, Unexpected Blessings, will be published this summer in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Recovering from Traumatic Brain Injuries, and she has published writings in Heads Up Headlines, a quarterly magazine published by BIA-MA and In an Instant Your Life Can Change Forever, a blog hosted by BIA-MA. Sandra has had several photographs published on the covers of New England Printer and Publisher (a trade magazine published by PINE). Hearts All Around Us is her first sole publishing endeavor.
